LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- A sensitive topic being brought up in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination is whether social media posts on Kirk’s death could cost people their jobs and reputations. One UA Little Rock employee received backlash from hundreds of locals, including state leaders.
KARK 4 News sat down with John DiPippa, dean emeritus at the UA Little Rock Bowen School of Law, to discuss the legalities of the situation.
"It's especially true, of course, in the digital era where whatever you say can get amplified immediately," DiPippa said.
The university responded to the employees' post by releasing a statement saying they are investigating, and the employee has been suspended with pay.
