PHOENIX (KVOA) - The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) has substantiated allegations of neglect against Christopher Scholtes concerning his 2-year-old daughter, Parker, who tragically died last year.
Now, Scholtes faces charges of first-degree murder and child abuse after Parker was found unresponsive in a hot car on July 9, 2024. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Currently, DCS reports that other children in the home are safe with their mother.
Past reports against Scholtes spanning from 2014 to 2020 alleged neglect and abuse but were unsubstantiated.
Next, Scholtes awaits legal proceedings following his indictment by a Pima County Grand Jury on August 1, 2024. Download PDF
