Wayne High School to hold open house
Families, alumni and community members are invited to tour Wayne High School and explore the new renovations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 9100 Winchester Road, officials announced Tuesday.
Originally built in 1971, the school has undergone extensive upgrades, including a transformed media center and student hub, a state-of-the-art cafeteria, collaborative learning spaces, an ROTC suite, secured entry, an updated auditorium and gymnasium and improved athletic facilities.
The event is free and open to the public. Renovations at Wayne High School began in spring 2022 and were budgeted to cost Fort Wayne Community Schools about $50 million.
