The Indiana State Police are investigating a suspected noncitizen for voting in six separate elections since 2018. The announcement came at a Friday news conference, where Secretary of State Diego Morales praised a 2024 law that added additional citizenship verification for certain voters.

“This case in Vigo County is proof that hard work is paying off; it is proof that noncitizens have voted in Indiana; and it is proof that our legislation is necessary and effective,” Morales said.
