CLOQUET — Whether it’s on the ice or the soccer pitch, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton sophomore forward Jordan Sewell knows a thing or two about speed.
The tri-sport athlete flashed his fleet-footed abilities early in the second half of the Lumberjacks’ home match against Superior on Tuesday, turning on the afterburners to gain a step on a Spartans defender and burying the deciding goal into the bottom left corner of the net.
With an assist from Michael Ruhnke, Sewell struck again minutes later to provide some breathing room in the 2-0 final at Members Cooperative Credit Union Stadium.
