PHOENIX -- Jordan Lawlar 's ninth-inning infield single scored Corbin Carroll from third base as the Diamondbacks walked off the Giants, 6-5 , on Tuesday night in a matchup of two Wild Card contenders at Chase Field.

With the win, the Diamondbacks kept pace with the Mets, who currently own the third NL Wild Card spot, and remain 1 1/2 games behind them. Arizona picked up a game on the Giants and now lead them by 1 1/2 games with 10 games remaining.

After Friday’s dramatic walk-off win over the Dodgers, the Giants sat a half-game behind the Mets for the third and final postseason spot, but four straight losses since have them back under .500 (75-76) and three games out with 11 games remaining in the season.
