SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Sacramento residents celebrated 916 Day with events across the city, highlighting community, culture, and local pride.

The Sacramento Store at 9th and K streets organized a day-long celebration, featuring limited-edition merchandise and live musical performances, aiming to highlight hometown pride.

“This is a day of coming together. It's a day of supporting local, whether it's local food, local restaurants, local coffee shops, and of course, local brands," said Zayn Silmi, founder of the People of Sacramento. "It's fun and it's exciting to be from the capital city."

The festivities continued at Esther Park with a day party featuring local vendors, food, and music.
