While the Oscars usually dole out the little gold men to endeavors involving drama, pain, and glory, the ceremony has rarely taken time out of its evening to celebrate the plethora of fantastic comedies being made.

On her Good Hang podcast, Amy Poehler lamented over this on her latest episode while speaking to The Roses ‘ Benedict Cumberbatch, who called in before his co-star Olivia Colman joined. As Poehler discussed the skill needed to pull off “physical comedy and really sharp and sarcastic wit,” Cumberbatch remarked: “If you can do comedy … you can do anything. I really do believe that.”
