RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highland Road at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 10 and found it occupied by a woman and her seven-year-old child.

The woman said that she was rushing the child to Hillcrest Hospital because he had a fever.

Officers found that she was driving under suspension and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. She told them that she was coming from a birthday party at a friend’s house. She only shrugged her shoulders when asked how much she had to drink.

The Garfield Heights woman, 43, was subsequently arrested for OVI and endangering children.
