Dad on Jet2 holiday flight with sons collapsed and died

A dad taking a Jet2 flight for a holiday with his two sons collapsed and died - and had no travel insurance to bring him home. . Chris Neill, 40, was travelling with sons Reece, 20, and Archie, nine, when he fell ill on the flight from Liverpool .

The Jet2 flight made an emergency landing in Germany, where Chris suffered a cardiac arrest after collapsing as he left the plane. Off-duty paramedic Rachel-Victoria Leyland, who was on the same flight, attempted to save Chris.

Chris's father Mal told The Echo he flew to Germany the following day to collect Reece and Archie, saying his son thought he had travel insurance through his bank but it had expired.
