The search for the remains of missing Port Lincoln woman Susan Goodwin, 39, has been paused following the discovery of bones at Pamir Court.
An anthropologist from Forensic Science SA and additional resources from SAPOL's Forensic Response Section and Major Crime Investigation Branch have travelled to Port Lincoln to confirm whether the bones are human remains and continue excavations.
Police began digging at the vacant Pamir Court property at about 9am this morning and made the discovery just before 10am.
Ms Goodwin was reported missing on Friday, July 19 2002, from her home address in Moonta Crescent at Port Lincoln.
She was last seen at about lunchtime that day after shopping at Coles and Woolworths in Port Lincoln.
