The entire country was tuned into Kelowna when New Country 100.7 FM was named Radio Station of the Year.
The Canadian Country Music Association brought Country Music Week to Kelowna. It was the smallest city to ever host the event.
So the local crew got to celebrate in front of their own listeners when they were named Radio Station of the Year (Medium or Small Market).
“We knew (Country Music Week) was coming, and how country music was going to be taking over the city, so we went all in on that,” said Jenn Dalen-Gordon, general manager/brand & content leader at Stingray Radio.
“And to see what the CCMA’s did this year with Waterfront Park -- I don’t think there’s ever been anything that compares to it.”
