After four weeks of nonconference action, Wilmington-area high school football teams will finally kick off conference play on Friday, Sept. 19.

Week 5 of the 2025 season will see all but one area team compete in conference showdowns. In Wilmington, Ashley (1-3) hosts Topsail (0-4) in the only game played in the Port City this week.
