QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) --
Still hot
Few storms Friday
Cooler weekend
We’ll still feel like summer today with highs once again reaching the upper 80s to low 90s under sunny skies.
Much like the past few nights, temperatures will dip back into the 50s and 60s, offering some welcome relief from the daytime heat.
Thursday will be the last of the really warm days in the 80s and 90s as the weather pattern finally begins to change.
Showers and a few storms will be possible Friday and into the weekend. While no day looks like a total washout, off and on rain will help keep highs in the 70s and 80s.
There are signs this system could stall over our area, prolonging rain chances into Sunday and Monday, something we’ll be watching closely.
No severe weather is expected at this time.
