A passenger jet got too close to Air Force One as it was bound for the UK, it has been revealed.
The huge Boeing 747 was travelling over New York when an Spirit Airlines plane was spotted flying on a similar flight path. Air Traffic controllers quickly advised the passenger plane's pilots to change their course immediately.
The planes always remained miles apart and were reportedly not in danger of breaching safety thresholds but the Spirit Flight 1300 - which was heading from Fort Lauderdale to Boston - did change its direction after being reminded to "pay attention" and "get off the iPad" by the frustrated controller.
In the audio the controller can be heard saying: "Spirit 13 hundred, turn 20 degrees right, Spirit 13 hundred, turn 20 degrees right now, Spirit Wings 13 hundred, turn 2
