Early voting in Fayetteville's primary municipal elections starts Thursday, Sept. 18.
There's a primary for the mayoral race and every City Council race with more than two candidates. The top two vote-getters in each race will advance to the general election Nov. 4.
Fayetteville is the only municipality in Cumberland County with a primary. In November, voters will go to the polls to decide elections for Eastover, Falcon, Godwin, Hope Mills, Linden, Spring Lake, Stedman, Wade and the Eastover Sanitary District Board.
The City Council races with primaries are: District 1 (four candidates); District 2 (three candidates); District 7 (four candidates); District 8 (three candidates); and District 9 (three candidates).
There are no primary elections in Districts 3, 4, 5 or 6. Voters who live
