A detention hearing for an actor from Port Republic who allegedly shot a woman in the face during a road rage incident that caused Stockton University’s Galloway Township campus to be put under a shelter-in-place order for three hours was postponed until Tuesday.

Ernest Heinz, 46, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Officers responded to a call for a shooting near Jimmie Leeds Road and Redwood Avenue at 12:52 p.m. The intersection is across from the main entrance to the school.
