KENT — Akron native Lamar Sperling has been reminding himself to stay patient while maintaining the work ethic and hunger he used to become a household name on the Northeast Ohio football scene.

Although Sperling has made an impact with the University at Buffalo , the former Archbishop Hoban High School star who won the 2022 Ohio Mr. Football Award has yet to truly break through at the college level.
