COLLEGE football star Matthew Lee has been shot dead.

The Minnesota shooting left another victim injured on Friday morning.

A suspect, who has not been named, has been arrested but no charges have been filed.

Police arrived at the scene and found the two victims, where Lee was pronounced dead.

The 19-year-old played as a linebacker at St. Olaf College.

His team are grieving Lee's loss, with his coach describing him as a by his coach as a "big teddy bear".

St. Olaf head coach James Kilian told KTSP , "Matthew was just a great kid.

"A tragic loss because of the future that he had in front of him and the opportunities that were going to be presented to him.

"[He] just had a great, caring personality.
