Almost as soon as Gov. Greg Abbott signed Texas’ new congressional map into law, groups representing Latino voters sued him for discrimination.
Their allegations are not unusual. Texas’ political maps have been found to violate the Voting Rights Act in every decade since its passage in 1965.
