Queen Camilla will participate in the state visit of US President Donald Trump today, following her absence from the Duchess of Kent's funeral due to acute sinusitis. A spokesperson for the King confirmed that she has recovered well and will attend all scheduled events during the visit, which spans today and tomorrow.

The royal family is set to play a significant role in the visit, aiming to strengthen ties with the US president. A large royal standard was seen flying from the Royal Tower of Windsor Castle on Wednesday morning, signalling the importance of the occasion.

During the visit, Queen Camilla will take part in a carriage procession, riding alongside First Lady Melania Trump in the Scottish State Coach. Meanwhile, King Charles and Donald Trump will travel together in the Irish State Coach, leading the procession.

Queen Camilla had been expected to attend the requiem mass for the Duchess of Kent on Tuesday but withdrew due to her health condition. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson stated, "With great regret, Her Majesty The Queen has withdrawn from attendance at this afternoon’s Requiem Mass for The Duchess of Kent as she is recovering from acute sinusitis. Her thoughts and prayers will be with The Duke of Kent and all the family."

The Duke of Kent was informed of her decision and expressed his support, wishing her a speedy recovery. After her recovery, Queen Camilla travelled from Scotland to Windsor yesterday morning to prepare for the state visit.
