Georgia election officials flagged more than 263,000 voter records for address updates in the latest round of list maintenance, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced Monday, saying the process is aimed at keeping registration rolls accurate and in compliance with state and federal law.

Raffensperger, a Republican, said the reviews rely on data from the U.S. Postal Service’s National Change of Address registry.

The audit identified 117,602 voters who had moved within the same county, 80,754 who had moved to a different Georgia county, and 65,271 who had moved out of state.
