One thing you might not expect from a visit to a local city boozer, is to sit among banana trees and undertake a pub quiz in a setting that could be mistaken for a tropical paradise. But one pub is doing just that, with its very own tropical beer garden - and it is in the running to be Bristol Live's Pub of the Year .

The Hope and Anchor on Jacob's Wells Road is run by landlords Adrian Youdell, who is described as the 'main face' of the pub, and Richard Avison who is the former owner of 99 Queens Clifton .
