Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have arrived at Windsor Castle, the historic second state visit for the US President.
Mr and Mrs Trump flew in on Tuesday night (local time), before the royal red carpet was rolled out.
The royal family usually gives US presidents one state visit. However, since Mr Trump’s last state visit in 2019, Queen Elizabeth II has passed, and Charles sent the unprecedented offer to the Republican via a personal invitation delivered to the White House by UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
During the visit, experts expect the UK to display the full force of its historic pomp and pagentry to woo Mr Trump, with politics discussed on the side.
