Former Hamilton Accies, Crystal Palace and Scotland midfielder James McArthur is set to open up a new East Kilbride restaurant later this year.
The ex-pro is teaming up with Struan Barclay, whose family are behind an award-winning hospitality group, to transform Coppertrees, which announced its closure earlier this week.
More than £700,000 will be invested into the project, with it set to re-open as Ruby's in November.
The St James Way venue will be temporarily closed to allow for extensive refurbishments. Once complete, Ruby's will bring a fresh, modern dining and drinking destination to the Lanarkshire town, offering a stylish and welcoming space.
