LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a woman whose body was discovered near Shawnee Park.

Michael Bullock, 27, is facing murder and robbery charges.

Bullock was taken into custody Tuesday for the death of 32-year old Rachael Hughes.

Hughes’ body was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a wooded area in Shawnee Park near the boat ramp on Sunday.

Her mother, Tammy Bryant, told WHAS11 News her daughter went to a local laundromat to play slot machines earlier that morning.

"At 4:30 she left up there and she was never seen again until they found her body," Bryant said.

Bryant said Hughes was driving her car and the abandoned vehicle was later found on 46th Street ransacked, and everything stolen out of it.
