An Allentown man died when his motorcycle collided with a tractor-trailer in Berks County , authorities said.

The Berks County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as 28-year-old Luis P. Colon. He was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m. on Sept. 7 at Reading Hospital.

No autopsy is planned. The cause and manner of Colon’s death has not been announced yet, Berks County Chief Deputy Coroner George Holmes told lehighvalleylive.com.

Berks County fire officials reported on Facebook the accident happened just before 11:50 a.m. Sept. 7 as Cumru Township officers were investigating another collision along Route 222 south, near the Grings Hill Road exit.

Cumru Township Police Chief Madison Winchester couldn’t immediately be reached for comment Wednesday morning.
