County prepares for Coastal Cleanup Day 2025 with statewide “Trashure Hunt” event

On Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon, communities throughout Lake County will participate in California Coastal Cleanup Day, joining thousands of volunteers across the state in a shared effort to remove trash and debris from local waterways, lakeshores, and public lands.

This year’s event, themed the “Trashure Hunt,” brings an added spirit of adventure to the cleanup, encouraging participants to view their efforts as a hunt for hidden litter, transforming cleanup into a fun, community-centered mission for environmental protection.
