LOGAN – Officials here have announced the closure of one of Logan’s westside parks for the season.
The access road and trails around Trapper Park will close on Monday, Sept. 22 and remained closed through Spring of 2026 to allow for necessary construction improvements.
Those improvements will include a canal enclosure project, a river restoration project and the installation of a pedestrian bridge, according to a Sept. 16 post on Facebook.
The canal through the park will be enclosed to prevent seepage losses, simplify operation and improve measurements, officials of Logan Parks & Recreation explain.
A new diversion will be added to the Logan River and the river’s path between 1000 West and the Little Logan confluence is earmarked for bank stabilization and wetland enhancements.
Those
