BUCHANAN COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — One person is dead after a crash in Buchanan County on Tuesday.

According to a news release from Virginia State Police (VSP), a 2006 Chevy HHR was traveling east on Route 460 around 8:15 p.m.

The vehicle reportedly went off the left side of the road and overturned in the 1600 block of Riverside Drive (Route 460).

The driver, identified by police as James F. Ratliff, 71, was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene, VSP reported.

Ratliff was not wearing a seatbelt, VSP stated.

The crash remains under investigation.
