Oleksandr Usyk played in a charity football match despite recovering from a back injury.

The heavyweight champion, who knocked out Daniel Dubois to become the undisputed king of the division in July, was ordered to defend his WBO belt against mandatory challenger Joseph Parker next.

However, Usyk was granted a three-month extension to the negotiations owing to a back injury.

Parker opted not to wait around and will fight Fabio Wardley instead , with Usyk told by the governing body he must fight the winner.

While Usyk's much anticipated title defence is postponed, the current king of the division's decision to play in the Legends Charity Game in Portugal alongside Michael Owen, John Terry and Henrik Larsson.
