Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is continuing to make history on a nightly basis.
Raleigh is putting together the best season by a catcher in MLB history, and it only continued to get better after two home runs on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals.
Raleigh's first home run Tuesday was No. 55 on the season. He surpassed Mickey Mantle for the most home runs by a switch-hitter in a single season. It was almost as if 55 and one on the night wasn't enough for Raleigh.
He hit No. 56 later in the game, tying the great Ken Griffey Jr. for the most home runs for a Mariner in a single season. Raleigh's next homer will put him atop the Seattle leaderboard for home runs in a season, a record that will likely not be touched anytime soon.
