CLIFTON PARK — In the wake of a growing number of animal abuse cases around the region, Clifton Park lawmakers are taking action.

Town lawmakers Monday approved legislation making it illegal to leave animals untended in automobiles in hot and freezing temperatures, and introduced another law requiring inspections of kennels and boarding facilities.
