MOUNT ULLA — South Rowan won three third-set tiebreakers, but West Rowan edged the Raiders 5-4 in Monday’s South Piedmont Conference tennis match.
South is 2-7 and West is 8-1 and in second place, but South is strong at the top. Sophie Steedley won the marquee match at No. 1 singles, coming back against West’s Autumn Yount after losing the first set, 6-1.

South’s Audrey Daniel dropped the first set at No. 2, but was able to come all the way back to beat West’s Laney Moore.
South also grabbed a win at No. 6 singles, where Jayden Overcash won the first set, lost the second set to Regan Eggers, and then prevailed on the third-set tiebreaker.
