Ever wondered just how much money Stephen A. Smith makes to berate his ESPN colleagues and seemingly yell during every talking point he makes? Or to play Solitaire smack dab in the middle of an exciting NBA Finals game? Dearest readers, if you value thoughtful, calm conversation about sports, I don't have the best of news for you.

According to The Athletic's Andrew Marchand, Smith reportedly makes somewhere around $33 million per year between his ESPN and SiriusXM Radio contracts. He also has incentives that give him the possibility of broaching $40 million.

Folks, I hate to say, but not really watching the games and being pretty mean-spirited a lot of the time seems to be worthwhile from a financial perspective!

Yeah, if Smith is making this kind of money, he's not going anywhere soon.

As for Smith's potential next stop? Well, that's American politics! Oh, what joy. Yay.
