A 29-year-old man suffered significant injuries after he was attacked by a bear in Yellowstone National Park — the first such incident since 2021, park officials said.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 16, the man was hiking by himself on Turbid Lake Trail when he came across the animal about 2.5 miles from the Pelican Valley Trailhead in the Pelican Valley Bear Management Area, the National Park Service said in a release.
