HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Students at Providence Elementary School got a surprise from a Kentucky state leader as part of "All In For Agriculture Education" week.

Students were visited by Kentucky's Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell. The commissioner joined other community partners to teach children about different aspects of agriculture.

Commissioner Shell says it's inspiring to see children get excited to learn about agriculture, and it gives him hope for the future of the industry in Kentucky.
