HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - A man charged in a 2020 murder has been sentenced to life in prison in Hopkins County Circuit Court.

Dennis Stone entered a guilty plea for the August 14, 2020 murder of Nichole Merrill. According to Commonwealth Attorney Kathy Senter, Stone also pled guilty to first-degree Assault and 12 counts of first-degree Wanton Endangerment.

Senter says the assault charge comes with a ten-year sentence and each wanton endangerment charge comes with five years for each.
