RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - It takes a village to pull off an election. And now with early voting, there’s an even greater need for people to help out with making sure we can all take part in the democratic process.

“We do need so workers for the poll books, for the ballot officers, things like that,” said Mark Coakley, Henrico County Voter Registrar.

In Henrico County, the voter registrar there says they need between 150 and 200 poll workers.

The need is for people to help out with not only early voting but also on election day proper.

In Chesterfield County, the elections manager says they need still need a lot of people to help out.

“As far as how many we would need. I would say if we could get another 200 for Chesterfield, that would be ideal,” said Leslie foreman, Chesterfield County
