CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A Gwinnett County man was sentenced to prison after he admitted to setting a nail salon on fire in Woodstock, the district attorney said.
During the investigation, the district attorney's office stated that detectives reviewed surveillance footage from nearby businesses, piecing together the events of the night of January 21, 2021. The DA stated that the fire caused extensive damage to the nail salon and nearby businesses in the strip mall.
Detectives observed 48-year-old Cang Thanh Luu exit a silver Toyota Camry and go to purchase non-latex gloves from a gas station just before 2 a.m. The same vehicle is seen arriving at the strip mall along Highway 92, where Nick's Nails is located.
