A dangerous Mini driver was captured by West Midlands Police close to where a famous scene out of The Italian Job scene was filmed.

Driver Leslie Cooke was spotted driving a Mini at high speed in and around Stoke Aldermoor, Coventry, in August.

Police pursued the vehicle as officer used a stinger.

The 60-year-old dumped the car, but was caught by a short distance from where the iconic Mini scene from the 1969 film The Italian Job was filmed.

Coventry played a crucial role in the movie as the sewers beneath the Stoke Aldermoor area were used for the iconic sewer escape scene when the filmmakers were unable find a suitable location in Turin, Italy.
