HISNDALE, Ill. (WLS) -- Hinsdale police released video of a commuter crawling under a stopped train to make it on board.

Police said it happened at the Garfield Crossing in the downtown area.

The video shows a woman dangerously crawling under a stopped train, so she wouldn't miss it, police said.

"This is why we have safety campaigns. Catching a train is not worth risking your life," police said.

There is a national push this week to raise awareness about rail safety in Illinois.

People are being reminded to cross at designated areas, obey all signals, and look both ways.

It's not clear if the woman is facing any charges.
