When the Bruins begin on-ice drills for training camp on Thursday, they’ll be without one of their most important players.
General manager Don Sweeney said Wednesday that David Pastrnak won’t be on the ice for the first few days of camp due to tendonitis. He might be on the ice at times, but won’t be a full participant.
Sweeney noted it’s more of a load management precaution and added Pastrnak should be fully practicing next week.
The star forward was Boston’s top scorer during the 2024-25 season with 43 goals and 63 assists. Pastrnak’s 106 points marked the third straight season he had at least 100 points.
