WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Waterbury police Wednesday identified the man killed in a shooting on Charles Street Monday evening.

Frank Garay, 29, of Hartford was pronounced deceased at the scene after being found with a gunshot wound.

Officers had been dispatched to the area outside 94 Charles St. for report of shots fired around 7:48 p.m.

The shooting remains under investigation.
