WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A structure fire early Wednesday morning forced street closures in downtown Dodge City.
Firefighters were called to the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Spruce Street, where the fire destroyed the building’s interior and caused the roof to collapse. Most of the four exterior walls remain standing, but they are heavily burned and charred.
The Dodge City Fire Department said the following streets are closed:
3rd Avenue between Vine and Gunsmoke streets
Spruce Street between 2nd and 4th avenues
Vine Street between 2nd and 4th avenues
Officials have not said how long the closures will remain in place.
