‘I went with my arm ... it did not take long.’ Son admits guilt in mother’s death on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Rosalie Sutera “deserved better” than the violent demise she suffered at the hands of her own son, according to a statement issued this week by law enforcement officials.

“She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother,” said District Attorney Michael E. McMahon on Tuesday in regard to the 2024 homicide case. “She deserved to live out the rest of her life in comfort and peace.”
