CALDWELL, Idaho — Peak summer driving in Idaho has come and gone - but recklessness remains an issue, especially in construction zones, reports Idaho State Police (ISP).
According to a Facebook post from ISP, a local trooper saw a GMC Yukon traveling 100 mph in a 55 mph construction zone. The state police were in Canyon County conducting a “work zone safety emphasis” when they pulled over a 19-year-old driver.
The driver admitted to making “several unsafe lane changes” to pass other vehicles, ISP adds to the post.
They were charged with reckless driving and face suspended driving privileges, fines and possible jail time if convicted, ISP continued.
