At around 7:30 a.m., police and fire officials were called to Susquhenna Twp after reports came in of a vehicle hitting a gas line in the area.
The incident has since been cleared.
Officials were called to the intersection of Old Post Road and Sturbridge Drive after a vehicle struck a gas line at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in Susquehanna Township.
According to a press release from Rob Martin, Susquehanna Township Fire Department, officials evacuated people from the UPMC, a building at 2805 Old Post Road, and a shelter-in-place order was put in place for a nearby day care center.
At 8:30 a.m., UGI secured the gas leak, and fire officials cleared all three floors of the UPMC for any other potential gas leaks.
