BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Music singers and songwriters in the Baton Rouge area now have a new place to grow their talents. Baton Rouge Music Studios is having a grand opening for its new location from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21.

BRMS Creative isn’t just a music school. It’s a space for artists of all ages to collaborate, record, perform, and grow together.

Doug Gay, one of the managing partners of BRMS Creative, said it's about more than just being a music studio.

"It's a different model from the traditional music school. While we do teach private lessons, we are trying to call the community together. If you teach a yoga class, if you teach an art class, we want to have a space that's available for you," said Gay.
