BOX ELDER COUNTY — The city of Tremonton is honoring two police officers who were killed and a sheriff's deputy and a K-9 officer who were wounded in a recent domestic violence incident.

Tremonton Mayor Lyle Holmgren, along with the city council, issued a proclamation recognizing the bravery and sacrifice of Sgt. Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada of the Tremonton/Garland Police Department, as well as Box Elder County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Allred and K-9 Officer Azula.

The proclamation states that the officers and K-9 Azula "served with honor, courage, and selfless dedication, standing as guardians of peace and protectors of our community."
